New site - Destiny Realised

Destiny Realised is an offshoot from an existing project I’m involved in - Dark Revolution. Both are organisations within the popular game Anarchy Online.
The organisation has seen a lot of changes over the last 6 months and it was felt they needed to move away from any previous names or associations and have something new. So I was tasked with sorting out a new website and forum for them.
The website itself is powered by Wordpress. I chose this because of my familiarity with it (it also powers this blog) and also it allows key members of the organisation to add their own content to the site with little or no training. It’s a customised K2 theme, with a randomised image header, code courtesy of Paul Stamatiou and images courtesy of Anarchy Online.
Linked from it is a forum from bbpress, which is made by the same people as Wordpress. The main benefit here is that only one database is needed to power the website and the forum, plus it allows a very close alignment of look and feel.
