Useful business lessons from the US
by Rob Mason ~ July 20th, 2007 Filed under: Strategy, Useful stuff.
Business models in the US don’t always translate well into the UK, however this recent post could be the exception. It outlines how Costco, a US supermarket chain, in very simple terms took on the giant Wal-Mart:
- Take care of your employees
- Keep prices low
- Pay attention to the customer, not the competition
- Focus on a few core options
- Use surprise to create excitement
Nothing but good old common sense.
