Useful business lessons from the US

Business models in the US don’t always translate well into the UK, however this recent post could be the exception. It outlines how Costco, a US supermarket chain, in very simple terms took on the giant Wal-Mart:

  • Take care of your employees
  • Keep prices low
  • Pay attention to the customer, not the competition
  • Focus on a few core options
  • Use surprise to create excitement

Nothing but good old common sense.
