W3C site in need of TLC?

The W3C site bugs me. I know it’s a small thing, but it bugs me. One word: bland. But why does it have to be this way? Quick answer is it doesn’t. Some would argue that such organisations don’t need funky sites, but surely some level of visual appeal is needed? Come on chaps, pull your finger out a re-design it!

There site looks plain it reminds me of the websites in the mid 90’s and early ‘00 they need to give it a sexy overhaul with some typographic accents.
