Online functionality…offline?

It was just a matter of time before someone answered the age old issue of “I can’t use online tools for everything because what happens if I loose my connection to the internet?”. In step Google with their answer: Google Gears.
One of the best known internet brands around, Google has a reputation for being the best search engine around (some may dispute this). What some might not know is the wealth of other tools and services they offer. The latest issuance from their Google Labs is Google Gears. the premise is simple: take online functionality and make it available offline.
The current release is Beta only, so isn’t for general use, but the possibilities are endless.
